Update! - July 8, 2009

After a long, coffee-fueled debate in our executive cardboard meeting room, we've decided to make several changes to the contest rules:

• Eligible entries are now tweets made @dealsplus, rather than using the hashtag #dealsplus.
• Entrants are now limited to five (5) tweets, or entries, per day. If you get picked and you have more than 5 tweets @dealsplus for the day, we'll pick someone else.


• Too difficult? Just tweet this!

These changes were made out of respect for Twitterdom. They take effect Wednesday, July 8, 2009!

How to Enter

There are a couple of ways to to take a crack at winning your cool new Macbook Air and iPod Touch:

1. Re-tweet a deal or coupon. Good places to find them are the home page, or the coupons page.
2. Simply tweet @dealsplus in any of your tweets on Twitter (say that five times fast). Be as funny or creative as you'd like!

You can tweet @dealsplus up to five (5) times for each day the contest is running (until July 17th). Each tweet will count as one eligible entry and winners will be chosen by Rand-Metrius, the DealsPlus God of all things random. Each day's contest starts at 12:00AM PST, and ends at 11:59PM PST.

The Rules

1. Contest will run on weekdays (M-F) from July 6 to July 17, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
2. Limit five (5) tweets/entries @dealsplus per user account. If you get picked and you have more than 5 tweets @dealsplus for the day, we'll pick someone else.
3. One winner per Twitter account.
4. To enter, you must send out a tweet from your Twitter account @dealsplus. Each tweet with @dealsplus included is considered an entry. The rest of the tweet text is up to you, so have fun with it!
5. Blatant usage of scripts or automated tweeting processes of any kind will automatically disqualify you from the contest.
6. The winning prize will be a $1,399.00 gift certificate to the Apple store which maybe used toward the purchase of a Macbook Air laptop with Apple's "back to school" promotion (iPod touch comes free after a rebate with the same promotion).
7. No purchase necessary to enter. You do not need to have a DealsPlus account to participate.
8. Once contacted, winner will be responsible for providing the correct mailing address and personal information.
9. All entrants must be 14 years of age or older.
10. Each "day" starts at 12:00AM PST, and ends at 11:59PM PST.

iPod touch giveaway - ends 7/10

To celebrate and announce the upcoming Happn.in iPhone application, we are giving away an iPod Touch on July 10. Here’s the deal:

To enter, just @-reply Happn.in within Twitter – that’s @happn_in (note the underscore). We will randomly choose one winner on July 10 at 5 PM Eastern Time.

Contest Rules

1. Contest runs from July 5 through July 10.
2. You enter by replying to @happn_in from your Twitter Account (doesn’t matter what you say, but if you use profane or offensive language, we’ll disqualify you and think lowly of you).
3. If, on July 10th, you are a follower of one of the 67 Happn.in Cities, you will be three times as likely to win the contest (think of it like this: anyone can get a raffle ticket, but Happn.in followers get THREE raffle tickets). You can see the full list (with links to their Twitter accounts) at Happn.in. You can follow more than one city, of course, but this won’t increase your chances.
4. A winner will be chosen at random on Friday, July 10 at 5 PM Eastern; and will be announced via the official Happn.in Twitter User (@happn_in)
5. The winner must provide us with a legit mailing address within 7 days of the announcement. We will attempt to contact the winner through Twitter Direct Message (though, that person must follow @happn_in for us to be able to do that). The 8 GB iPod Touch will be sent out within 7 days after receiving the mailing address.
6. We reserve the right to change or update these rules as necessary.
